Go Green With Felice Decks
Give the environment a break by going green with your new outdoor living project.
At Felice Decks, we prefer to use environmentally friendly products. This is why we use Trex composite deck materials. Trex eco-friendly decking is made from 95% recycled materials.
Recycling and conserving our natural resources are hot topics today. From recycling aluminum and paper to switching to more energy efficient light bulbs, our society is becoming more conscious of our impact on the world we live in.
You can do your part for the environment and get a beautiful deck at the same time.
Why Trex Composite Decks Are Eco-Friendly
Trex uses reclaimed wood products, keeping them from going to a landfill. By reusing these wood products, no new trees need to be cut down when making Trex composite deck materials.
Recycled plastic film is also used to make Trex decking materials. The plastic comes from a wide range of sources, including the wrapping on paper towels, sandwich bags, newspaper sleeves, dry cleaner bags, and grocery and shopping bags.
A 500 square foot Trex deck contains roughly 140,000 recycled plastic bags!
Trex Uses Eco-Friendly Manufacturing
Trex developed a proprietary method of manufacturing their composite deck materials without smokestacks, reducing air pollution. At the same time, the process is fuel efficient and reduces CO2 emissions. Nearly 100% of the factory refuse and runoff is recycled, further reducing both raw material waste and pollution.
Trex has made a full-on commitment to producing an environmentally friendly product in the cleanest way possible. When we use Trex decking products, we help to minimize our negative impact on the planet.
